Villa Roncovisi is a typical 18th century Tuscan country house sits amid a beautiful hilly setting and olive grove on the lower western slopes of Monte Albano. It was originally composed of two farm houses which have been joined together with a careful restoration. The owners have carried out an accurate and rigorous renovation using only materials recovered from the surrounding area and period while ensuring a structure which respects the norms of bio-architecture. For more than thirty years, the owners have cultivated their passion for antiques and have furnished the villa with pieces acquired from antique dealers, auctions or antique fairs. On the ground floor is composed by a dining room for eight people, a lounge room with antique fire place, divans, card table with four chairs, a main kitchen with table for eight, a fireplace and pizza oven, a well equipped kitchen for six guests, a downstairs bathroom with Jacuzzi shower, a lounge room with two divans and double faced fireplace leading into fire, a dinning room with table for sixteen guests, a tv room with double sofa bed, a billiard room, a second downstairs bathroom with Jacuzzi shower and a small laundry. The second floor of the villa offer four double rooms equipped with king-size bed and bathroom with jacuzzi hydro massage bath and shower, walk-in wardrobe antique chest, chest of drawers, two armchairs with small table; a triple room with three single beds equipped with wardrobe and chest of drawers and a bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and shower, shared by the bedroom with three single beds and the small room. On the intermediate floor a large dining room reached by a staircase of nine stairs and a bedroom with two single beds are at disposal of the guests. Villa Roncovisi is equipped with an exclusive pool (6x12mt and depth of 1.35mt open from mid April to mid October) situated on a natural terrace a few metres below the villa level and with a wide view of the valley below. The night lighting of the pool and its surrounds is particularly suggestive. The cleaning system of the pool insures utmost hygiene and eliminates any possible inconvenience caused by the chloride. The water is slightly saline and contains the same percentage of salt as the human eye. In the property area there is another villa belonging to the owners and a third smaller house with its own garden and swimming pool, 100mt away from the main villa. Rentals run from Saturday to Saturday. A security deposit of 800 Euro is due upon arrival directly to the owner, refundable against damages. The weekly rate includes garden and pool maintenance, maid service once a week, use of four bikes and electricity usage within 250 kw per week. Air conditioning, heating, telephone and internet costs must be paid on the spot directly to the owner. Additional maid service is available and payable locally on an hourly basis. Final cleaning costs must be paid in cash on the spot directly to the owner. An on-demand chef is available for dinners, and payable locally. Two mobile phones, not including charge, are at disposal of the guests.
